Springtime

So, it's definitely been awhile since I've written...my bad. So I'm going to have to play a little bit of catch up here.

A couple weeks ago I was writing a paper for my history class about the Holocaust. You can only read about that for so long before you start to get real depressed. So Laurie and I decided to take a little break and go to Barnes and Noble. We found all our childhood favorites, and I definitely found some kids books that I will by buying for my children. Heck, I'll probably buy them right now and read them to myself every night. That place is magical and I'm convinced that it can make any bad day 100 % better. Just the smell of books and Starbucks is enough to make me happy. I think I'll be spending a lot of time there this summer... and maybe a lot of money too...

Last weekend, we celebrated Bailey's birthday! We kicked it off with at the chalk festival in Spanish Fork. This is definitely one of those experiences that you just have to have. It's a lot of fun, and the colors are just so happy. Plus the chalk festival just means that it really is springtime, and I'm all about that!

S/O to the best visiting teachers that I have ever had! Lindsey and Hana are seriously the coolest, and boys should really get on that! For real, they are like my only friends in this ward...and I'm totally ok with that. Plus their stories always make me laugh and they just know how to live life! And these baby s'mores that they provided me with are just the cutest things that I think I have ever eaten. And roasting them provided for some great entertainment, especially when Sara almost burns our apartment to the ground....

Last, but not least, this weekend was just the best thing ever. I seriously had been looking forward to it all week! On Friday night Sara and I drove up to the Bountiful Temple (which is huge and so beautiful) to do baptisms for the dead with Travis. 1) I love Travis. He is the nicest human to walk this earth. I am sooo beyond grateful that we are friends! He is always so happy and funny and I love to be around him. Plus he is just so sweet, and I really just can't say enough about how great he is! 2) I love having friends who can baptize you. It's kinda the coolest experience ever. I don't know how I got so lucky to have so many wonderful friends throughout my whole life who are such great examples of living the gospel and honoring their Priesthood, but I sure am blessed. 3) I love the temple. I wish I could just go there every single day. The peace there is something that I need in my life constantly. I feel so blessed to live in a place where I can go to the temple frequently.

To top off this weekend, it was general conference! I love general conference so much! I learned a lot this year from listening to the talks, and I definitely received direct revelation for my life. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father hears my prayers and answers them. Plus, hanging out with my grandma, aunt, uncle, and cousins was really nice. And the free food was definitely a bonus.

Well that is a wrap of my life. Peace and blessings.
