This was one full weekend, let me tell ya. But it was a rather great one! Friday was Valentines Day, which was probably one of the best Valentines Day of my life. Let's just say my future significant other has his work cut out for him if he's gonna top it. I got a package from my parents full of all of my favorite things- the Hunger Games Series, an iTunes gift card, potatoes, a Seahawks shirt, candy, and a card. My parents are the bees knees!!
For Valentines dinner, I went to Tucanos for the first time with all my girls. It was so delicious. I have never shoved so much good food into my face in my life. I even ate a chicken heart--which surprisingly wasn't disgusting, although I don't think I'll eat it again. And the glazed pineapple was as legendary as I've heard for my whole life. I think the best part of the whole dinner was that our dear Will was our waiter!! Shocker of my life! That is one cool kid and I'm glad we got to chat with him...and that he paid for our chocolate cake...what a champ!!
Scottsworth also decided to drop in and say hello to us and give us a whole entire half an hour of his life...how kind of him! My brother Brady also came down this weekend from BYU-I. So on Saturday we went and visited Grandma and Grandpa Brady, Grandma Taylor, Diane, Cathy, and Callie. We even had the privilege of seeing Kellie and David out running...seriously if you ever want to see them, just drive anywhere in Utah County, and you'll probably find them. But let me just tell you all about how amazing my grandparents are. They feed me and pay me for no reason. I just don't know how I got to be the luckiest girl in the whole world. And take note future husband: my Grandpa Brady should be your role model. So you should be his best friend. Of course, I had to introduce Brady to BYU ice cream, which he kindly paid for (it's ok, he owed me for kissing someone anyway.)
On Sunday, I went to Leilani's farewell. She did so great on her talk. She is going to be one powerful missionary, I just know it. Singapore is the luckiest country to have her for the next 18 months. I'm sure gonna miss her and how we party like there is no tomorrow.
And so help me, if one more person leaves me on a mission, I may curl up in a corner for the next 2 years. Today was not terribly exciting even though I had the day off of school. Brady and I went and bought a gift for my dad's birthday and then we took a pit stop at Chik-fil-a. You can never go wrong with Chik-fil-a. This isn't terribly exciting, but it sure made me excited-- I filled out all the paperwork for my minor, which is Political Science. I'm actually really excited about all the classes that I am going to take in the next 2 years, even though I am going to be taking a motherload of credits. I'm just glad that I finally found a minor that feels right! But that my friends, is my weekend in a nutshell, and it was a lovely one if I do say so myself.
